The thrust of a sword, a well-placed arrow, or a blast of flame from a fireball spell all have the potential to damage, or even kill, the hardiest of creatures. Injury and the risk of death are constant companions of those who explore fantasy gaming worlds. Restoration and healing spells have tiers, and while some directly restore hitpoints, others will remove status effects and other maladies.Damage and Healing. Whether it's a paladin or cleric with their spells or an alchemist who knows how to make potions on the fly, health is a big proponent of 5e D&D and any other tabletop game. There's already precedent for Healing Surge in 5E D&D too! The official rules state that drinking a healing potion requires an action. High-level spells have been shown to be capable of closing and healing critical wounds.
The full potential of Healing Magic is unknown. This form of magic allows the user to channel mana and use it to accelerate one's own or others' regenerative process.
